All School Auction Thanks

The North Marion All-School Auction Committee would like to thank everyone who contributed to the success of the First Annual North Marion Benefit Dinner and Auction event held Saturday, April 5, 2008 at the Holiday Inn, Wilsonville.

The fact that over 435 people attended the event bears testimony to the goodwill present in our community.

Donations included almost 400 items that were auctioned both through the Silent Auction Process before dinner and then the Oral Auction that followed dinner.

Special recognition goes to our corporate sponsors who made the event possible: Cascade First Assist, LCC, Oregon Turf and Tree Farms, Legacy Health System, Allstate Insurance – Steve Summers, Dry Cleaning Depot, Engleman Electric, French Prairie Nursing and Rehab, JB Instant Lawn Inc., Living Color Landscape, Oregon Pacific Construction, SST Package Express, State Farm Insurance – Justin Stearns, Wild Horse Saloon and CafĂ©, Bear Electric, Inc., Bowman Family Dental, Cutsforth Thriftway, G Cam Ltd., Joseph Restic, DMD, Public Works Supply, US Bank-Woodburn, The Ulven Company, Willamette Valley Wesleyan Church, Withers Lumber, Wilsonville Dental Group, Woodburn Garage Door, Inc., and Woodburn Radiator and Glass.
In addition we would like to express our appreciation to the North Marion School District, North Marion PTA, North Marion Boosters, PRYDE Sports, North Marion Alumni, The Woodburn Independent and WCAT (Woodburn Cable Access Television) for their support in publicizing and supporting the event.

We thank all of the donors of our auction items, as well as all who attended the event to support the First Annual North Marion All-School Auction. The bidders were especially generous with their support and helped to raise over $62,000. The money raised will benefit students of all four schools in the district.

We thank the many volunteers that have worked countless hours over the past ten months in preparing for the Auction Event. Without each of you and your dedication and support to the District and Community this event would not have been a success.

The following individuals were an intricate part of the success of the event: Chris Podhora and Diane Roppe – Acquisitions Team, Melissa Garringer - Operations, Karla Hunt and Susan Paradis – Treasurer and Barb Keeton who prepared the Catalog.

Special thanks to Auctioneer Aaron McGuffin for volunteering his time and James Moore our Master of Ceremonies. We are so blessed to be a part of such a caring and generous community. We all should be proud of the results of the First Annual North Marion Auction Event!
